Most people search engines don’t let you search by first name only. To find people by first name only, follow these steps:

(Step 1) GOOGLE: Use “quotes” to search exact names or phrases. Example: “jeremy” “aurora university” portland

(Step 2)Do the above within Google Image Search and 4 other image finder websites.

(Step 3)1 – Google only Facebook2 – Google only MySpace, Friendster and Youtube3 – Google 12 Photo Album websites in one simple-search

(Step 4)Facebook people search: Amazingly, Facebook does not find people well by full name – first & last name! But it does by

first name only … or last name only. This is because some people elect to have hidden profiles – so even logged-in

searches won’t reveal they have a Facebook page when they actually do. But a first or last name search will solve this.

1) Put first name in top search box and search2) Then click on “People” at top-left3) Now you have a pull-down menu with three keyword categories to choose from: “Location” which can change to “Education”

or “Workplace”. Put a keyword or phrase in the box. Ex: Denver, CO (CO has to be capitalized!)This will give you a good list of people, and works especially well for small towns and unique names.

TIP 1: Try using a different name variation of the person – like a nickname or shortened first name. Ex: Richard, Richy,

Rich, or Rick.

TIP 2: Some people use former or even alias cities. Try name variations to find people by first name only.

TIP 3: Facebook friends search: Do you know one of the person’s friends? Search people’s “Friends” lists for links to
